About Coach Rich

38 years of getting this right.

I was 11 when I started training for snowboarding. Weights in a backpack, snowboard boots on, walking hills.

From that point on, I've been a mad scientist about strength and conditioning.

In high school, I was training my friends. In college, I trained within the strength and conditioning department.

At 27, I hurt my shoulder doing a snatch. When the student is ready, the teacher appears.

I started working with John Davies of Renegade Training. At 53, he moved better than I ever had in my life.

That's when I realized what I'd been taught was just the tip of the iceberg. Posture and the foundation of the athlete matter more than anything else. Get the base right and everything built on it works. Skip it and you're stacking strength on cracks.

Now I'm 49. No achy joints. I jump out of bed in the morning. I move better than most 25-year-olds, and every year I'm still getting better on a snowboard.

That’s why I do this. I want you to feel the way I feel at 49.
